By now, you know that I lost the election for State Board of Education. Almost 240,000 Northern Nevadans voted in this race, so their choice is what counts. It has been a real honor to run for this office and to have you all beside me working to get out the votes for the past eight months.
A huge THANK YOU to each and every one of you for putting up signs, walking precincts, calling voters, passing out literature, sending out emails and for your financial support.
We’re working now to take down all the political signs all over Northern Nevada through November 16. We’re taking the signs to recycling, but want to salvage the rebar and the metal H-frames so it can be used by other candidates in the future. So please let me know if we missed getting your sign (or if you see a sign anywhere else) after November 16---and we’ll arrange to collect it, or you have my permission to remove it and dispose of it as you see fit.
Thank you again for all your help and support. Let's all keep working to get Nevada's K-12 education out of last place and moving up, up, up! Our kids deserve nothing less.
